What Is Preventive Maintenance for HVAC Systems and Why Is It Important?

Preventive HVAC maintenance is a scheduled tune-up that cleans, tests, and adjusts your system. It’s important because it improves efficiency, reduces breakdowns, supports safety, and extends equipment life. A visit may include cleaning coils, burners, and blowers; checking refrigerant and airflow; tightening electrical connections; lubricating motors; thermostat testing; and CO or gas-leak checks. We recommend annual AC service and twice-yearly care for heat pumps and mini-splits. Maintenance plans include two tune-ups per year with priority booking. Limited-time $69 tune-up options may be available.

  • Replace or clean filters.
  • Keep the outdoor unit clear of debris.
  • Schedule seasonal tune-ups.
